🌱 Lessons We offer weekly lessons throughout the year. There are weekend classes and weekday classes. Kagetsu classes and advanced classes are also offered periodically. Please contact us if you are interested in attending or observing lessons.
🌱 Events Wakakusa-kai’s events for the members include seasonal tea gatherings: Hatsugama (a new year's gathering), Rikyu-ki, a summer outdoor gathering, a moon viewing gathering, Robiraki (an opening-of-the-sunken-hearth gathering), and a year-end gathering as well as individualized practice chaji gatherings. The formal gathering consists of making charcoal fire, a seasonal course meal, koicha thick tea, and usucha thin tea. The goal of our tea practice is to enable students to host such a tea gathering.
